It´s a special customs regime that allows importing specific equipment to be used directly in research and tilling activities for oil and natural gas reservoirs without the incidence of federal taxes - II, IPI, PIS, and COFINS, in addition to the Merchant Navy Renewal Freight – MNRF.
 
Referred taxes will continue with their liability interrupted throughout the regime’s utilization period and can be extinct upon re-export of the equipment admitted in this regime.
